The Need

Schools in Uganda are not serving students effectively.

There is a positive correlation between education and unemployment. In other words, the more education you have, the more likely you are to be unemployed. Consider the charts below: the first chart represents students in United States, while the second one represents students in the Uganda.

This phenomenon is driven by three main factors:

Uganda is full of Promise

Uganda is known as The Pearl of Africa, a beautiful country longing for redemption and healing. A recent history of war and disease has brought on poverty and stymied a nation full of promise.

Youth Unemployment

Four out of five people in Uganda are under the age of 30.

Of these youth, 68% are unemployed. Youth unemployment, defined as those under the age of 35 and are capable of working, in Uganda is the highest in Africa. Its cause is an education system that is failing to meet the needs of Ugandans.
